About the RoleThis position involves monitoring and detecting potential security threats using advanced tools and technologies. As an IT SOC/Security Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing logs from various sources, identifying anomalies, and responding to incidents in a timely and effective manner.
Key Responsibilities- Monitoring & Detection: Utilize Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms to monitor, analyze, and respond to alerts. Review logs from firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection to detect anomalies and potential threats.
- Incident Triage & Response: Conduct initial analysis of alerts, determining the nature of incidents, their severity, and potential impact. Escalate incidents based on predefined criteria, involving senior analysts when necessary. Follow incident response playbooks and procedures for common threat scenarios.
- Threat Intelligence & Reporting: Maintain basic understanding of the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and attack methods. Document incidents, resolutions, and actions taken consistently and thoroughly. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders for incident coordination.
