Warehouse Worker Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Warehouse Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving merchandise, unloading or unpacking, marking with codes for identification, stocking shelves, and assisting customers with their orders.

The role involves working in stores, warehouses, stockrooms, and other storage facilities. The ideal candidate should have good physical condition and ability to lift heavy furniture.

Key Responsibilities:

Merchandise Administration:

• Counter-check items (quantity, color, size) against purchase orders/requisitions for accuracy
• Inspect received merchandise for damages and report any issues to the supervisor
• Prepare requested items and deliver to the selling area
• Ensure all labels are clear and legible
• Arrange items according to company policies and practices

Inventory Management:

• Identify items that need reordering or replenishment
• Conduct physical inventory during stocktaking periods
