Caption Translator Role

A highly skilled Caption/Subtitle Translator is required to join our project team. As a key member, you will work closely with other translators and report directly to the project manager.

  • Translate content within captions/subtitles, documents, web pages, and software applications.
  • Improve Machine Translation output by refining cultural translation issues.
  • Develop creative translations while adhering to strict word limits without compromising meaning or context.
  • Maintain an up-to-date translation database using Translation Management Software.
  • Provide quality assurance throughout the translation process.
  • Work with diverse media formats and translation software applications.
  • Address translation-related issues, including localization and cultural nuances.
  • Collaborate with other departments to deliver exceptional translation services.
  • Implement feedback and changes as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications or Linguistics.
  • At least four years of experience in translation and interpretation.
  • Proficiency in Translation Management System tools and software applications.
  • Strong knowledge of translation processes, terminology, and localization techniques.
  • Familiarity with localization guidelines and standards.
  • Ability to convert written materials into another language.
  • Excellent translation, writing, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in at least two target languages.
  • Capacity to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bonus points for additional certification in Linguistics or related field.
