Senior Quality Assurance Automation Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Automation Specialist to lead and ensure the quality and reliability of software applications through rigorous manual and automated testing. The successful candidate will have strong leadership and technical expertise to drive IT Applications projects to deliver high-quality systems that exceed expectations.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with other Leads to provide support and recommendations regarding testing approach impacting other teams
2. Effectively communicate with management and delivery leads
3. Conduct presentations to cross-functional groups on test solutions delivered
4. Represent your technical area and IT on cross-functional enhancements and projects
5. Own the triage process
6. Act as a Regression Coordinator across teams
7. Ensure IT Principles & Values are followed
8. Monitor Delivery Team metrics and drive improvements
9. Drive team members to suggest ideas for innovation and ensure follow-through
10. Provide coaching and guidance to junior members to enable them to contribute more effectively
11. Provide out of hours support as requested for incidents
12. Coordinate test efforts with all affected parties
13. Contribute to Performance Feedback
14. Participate in technical analysis and design review sessions
15. Lead in bug and metric review meetings for stream

Key Responsibilities - Manual Testing

• Actively monitor and ensure sufficient test coverage and initiate reviews as required
• Design test implementation and produce supporting documentation
• Continuously review test approach of the team to identify issues and drive improvements
• Independently lead the complete delivery of multiple projects
• Contribute and perform test coverage reviews
• Organize regression activity of the team and own status reporting
• Lead the complete delivery for a large project(s) with minimal support

Key Responsibilities - Automation Testing

• Conducts regular peer reviews and source control PR approvals
• Maintain, update and fix CI Implementation and regularly implement process improvement in CI Architecture
• Consolidate CI Execution Results and communicate issues to stakeholders
• Engage in discussions with stakeholders in terms of Automation Coverage and new opportunities for Automation
• Can adapt to different test automation technologies and lead proof of concept initiatives
• Able to mentor junior resources on how to implement test automation and shares best practices
• Contributes to the overall architecture of the automation framework and seeks ways to implement process improvements
• Drives self to become SME for test automation and contributes to the development of other team members
• Conducts regular peer reviews and source control PR approvals

Requirements

• 5+ years of solid experience in application QA/testing
• 2+ years of QA leadership experience
• SFDC background is a must
• Experience with SFDC test automation tools
• Experience in functional, enterprise-system level testing and a strong desire to learn automated testing tools like Selenium or Provar
• Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing practices
• Ability to ensure accountability and communicate effectively with diverse teams
• Proven record of driving results and engagement, while supporting team objectives
• Expertise in creating, planning, and executing test strategies and test plans to promote quality in all aspects of delivery

Desirable Skills

• Experience with CI/CD pipelining for deployment (e.g., Bamboo, Jira, Git, Atlassian)
• Hands-on experience with QA tools like Provar and automation frameworks
• Exposure to performance testing and monitoring
