Job Summary

Megabon Construction & Development Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review architectural plans and prepare detailed quantity needs
  • Estimate the quantity and costs of materials, taking into account factors such as labor costs, equipment rental, and material waste
  • Prepare contracts and documents, including payment schedules and inventory management plans
  • Analyze costs for maintenance and additional building needs, identifying potential risks and opportunities for cost savings
  • Track changes in plans or constructions, updating budgets and schedules as necessary
  • Negotiate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Hire and document contractors and subcontractors, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and experience to deliver high-quality work
  • Act as a liaison between clients and site managers/engineers, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise
  • Keep track of construction materials and inventory, ensuring that they are properly stored and managed
  • Identify potential financial or construction risks, advising clients on strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure project success
  • Advise clients on improvements, strategies, and/or estimated costs, providing expert guidance on project delivery and cost management
  • Prepare payments for contractors and subcontractors, ensuring that they are paid on time and in accordance with the terms of their contracts
  • Document progress, materials, and reports on project, providing regular updates to clients and stakeholders
  • Advise on property taxes, regulations, and local laws, ensuring that clients are compliant with all relevant regulations and laws
  • Source maintenance costs and facilities management for clients, providing expert guidance on cost management and project delivery
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with contractors and subcontractors, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and experience to deliver high-quality work
  • Utilize software to calculate, record, and track inventory and estimates, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Analyze completed projects to determine ROI and compare costs, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for cost savings

Qualifications

  • Graduate Bachelor of Civil Engineering or Architectural, Professional License (Passed Professional License Exam) in Engineering or Architectural
  • At least 4 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
  • Preferably Supervisor/5 Yrs & Up Experienced Employee specialized in Architecture/Interior Design or equivalent
  • With at least 3 years experience in handling FIT OUT projects on site
  • Experience in estimating and cost engineering with jobsite experience
  • Knowledgeable in estimating software
  • Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft applications
  • Excellent attention to detail
