Job Opportunity: Senior Front-End Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced front-end developer to join our team. As a senior front-end developer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality front-end development with clean code, modern tooling, and best practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering projects on time and meeting deadlines reliably.
  • Collaborating proactively with the team to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Developing custom WordPress themes using ACF and modular CSS/JS.
  • Building and extending custom Shopify themes as required.
  • Delivering React-based front-end builds, including Gatsby for static and hybrid websites.
  • Translating designs and requirements into maintainable, performant code.
  • Applying advanced site optimisation techniques to improve user experience.
  • Ensuring accessibility, responsive behaviour, and SEO best practices are consistently applied.
  • Working with Git using a branch/pull request/merge workflow.
  • Utilising modern toolchains to improve development efficiency and code quality.
  • Integrating and consuming third-party APIs.
  • Configuring and implementing analytics and tracking solutions.
  • Troubleshooting issues across front-end, WordPress, Shopify, React, and server environments.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Advanced experience with custom WordPress theme development and Shopify builds.
  • Solid experience with React, including building projects in Gatsby or similar.
  • Deep understanding of ACF and WordPress customisation best practices.
  • Proficient with CSS pre-processors like SCSS and building maintainable design systems.
  • Familiarity with Git workflows in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency in integrating APIs and handling asynchronous data.
  • Skilled in optimising websites for speed, accessibility, and SEO.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting server-related issues.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
