Electrical Power Systems Specialist

This role is responsible for performing and directing power system studies across various modelling environments.
Key Responsibilities- Conducting power system studies in PSS/E, PSCAD, Powerfactory and Hypersim modelling environments.
- Completing generator performance standard studies compliant with schedule 5 of the national electricity rules.
- Developing technical reports for generator connection processes, including performance standards, registration, and compliance testing.
- Designing, project managing, managing subcontractors and developing cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics.
- 3-5 years' experience in delivering complex high-voltage grid connection projects.
- Background in an engineering design, build & commission operating environment.
- Strong health, safety, quality and environmental (HSEQ) focus and passion for achieving strong results in commercial performance and customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships at all levels.
- Proficient multi-tasker with a friendly, positive attitude.
- Experience using PSCAD software.
