Job Title: Data Insights Specialist

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated and result-driven professional with expertise in data science, capable of collaborating with various stakeholders to drive business growth. The role requires the ability to gather information from key stakeholders, communicate complex technical concepts effectively, and manage own self-accountability.

  • Partner with stakeholders to define business problems, identify challenges, discover opportunities, develop, and implement recommendations based on data-driven solutions and insights.
  • Manage data science projects, prioritize tasks, scope, and set corresponding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for success.
  • Understand new and existing data sources, process pipelines, and catalog/document them.
  • Apply statistical analysis and visualization methods, generate hypotheses about underlying business processes mechanics, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement AI solutions leveraging big data, advanced analytic tools, and techniques such as R, Python, Power BI, TensorFlow, Keras, etc., across the organization to contribute to revenue, cost/loss reduction, risk treatment, and compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:Soft Skills:
  • Effective communication strategies for gathering information from key stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate technical terms for stakeholders' understanding.
  • Articulation of work group processes.
Leadership:
  • Collaborative work style with team members, contributes to suggestions on how to improve.
  • Level of accountability, ownership, and managing own self.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Engage stakeholders to understand their perspective, clearly express it, and work towards identifying possible compromises.
  • Appropriate communication of results.
Analytical Ability:
  • Assess available information, make decisions, and act upon them.
Technical Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of coding skills, data management, distributed computing, machine/deep learning, storytelling, visualization, math, statistics, and AI technical skills.
  • Application experience: 2+ years of experience.
  • Business and industry knowledge: basic understanding of the industry.
