We are looking for a skilled professional to join our team in a Medical Billing Appeals Assistant role. The successful candidate will assist the Relief for Autism/Emergence Coalition team in meeting responsibilities in a timely and accurate fashion, ensuring that carriers receive all relevant appeals with no additional information needed.

Responsibilities
  • Review appeals for medical necessity and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Fax appeals to the appropriate party, maintaining detailed records of all communications.
  • Set reminders to follow up on appeal status, ensuring timely updates to the team.
  • Confirm in-network provider ability to service new members, streamlining the enrollment process.
  • Attend weekly team meetings, contributing to discussions and completing assigned tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned, supporting the team's goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of college education, preferably in a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical practice dealing with billing, including provider credentialing, authorizations, and reimbursement.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
