IT Professional - Technical Support Specialist

The job involves providing remote technical assistance to users, addressing various IT issues, and maintaining system integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Support: Identify and resolve IT problems, determining root causes, and escalating when necessary, to minimize downtime.
  • System Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, mobile devices, software, printers, and peripherals for optimal performance.
  • Account Management: Manage user accounts and access permissions, ensuring data security and compliance with established policies.
  • IT Ticket Management: Log, manage, and respond to support tickets via various channels, documenting solutions and resolutions.
  • Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to users on IT tools, applications, and best practices to enhance their productivity.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain IT inventory, including hardware and software licenses, and assist with procurement as needed.
  • Project Collaboration: Collaborate with the IT team to implement projects, upgrades, and system improvements, contributing to overall efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Education: Hold a degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Possess 3-5 years of experience providing support in areas like Windows 10/11, M365, Active Directory / Azure AD, SharePoint, Teams, and Xero.
  • Skills: Proficiency in remote support and management applications, help desk software, and Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
