This is a remote position.

Position: Japanese-Speaking MERN Stack Developer
Location: Remote (Japan Timezone Preferred)
Type: Full-Time / Contract
Experience Level: Mid to Senior

  • Develop and maintain web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
  • Collaborate with the product and design teams to build high-quality user interfaces and APIs.
  • Participate in agile sprints, contribute to planning, code reviews, and testing.
  • Integrate and optimize AI tools and APIs to improve workflows and product functionality.
  • Communicate effectively with both Japanese and English-speaking team members.
Responsibilities:
  • The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software development with expertise in the MERN stack.
  • He/She should have excellent communication skills and be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • A strong understanding of Agile methodologies and version control systems such as Git.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is also desirable.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Japanese language (written, spoken, and listening)/ JNLPT2.
  • Solid experience with the MERN stack.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Experience working in remote and cross-cultural teams.
  • Strong understanding of Git and development best practices.
  • Ability to leverage AI tools for productivity and efficiency.
