Job Summary:

  • We seek an experienced OSP Design Engineer to support a large-scale project.
  • The successful candidate will work from home, Monday to Friday, 9 PM to 6 AM Manila time.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze field data, network systems, and provide fiber route design in accordance with customer specifications and guidelines.
  • Read and understand road prints, utility maps, and as-builts to identify conflicts with existing facilities.
  • Collaborate with vendors, GIS, and CAD teams to produce required documentation for application packages.
  • Follow established procedures while adapting to changing standards and procedures.
  • Coordinate with the project team for forecasting, scheduling, resources management, and quality assurance.
  • Review project deliverables for accuracy and report risks, issues, and recommended mitigations.
  • Manage scope creep, change orders, and routine billing.
  • Maintain the integrity of the customer access network and support access technology deployment.
  • Complete as-built package delivery and billing closeout.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in OSP engineering, with knowledge of engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with fiber optic and/or copper counts, assignments, and splicing schematics.
  • Proficiency in engineering tools, including ARAMIS, IQGEO, NDS, OCALC, and AutoCAD.
  • Effective communication and people skills.
  • Strong language skills, both oral and written.
  • Sense of urgency to meet deadlines and follow-up with customers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels.
