Accounting Specialist Job Summary

This role involves supporting the accounting team in planning and executing audits, serving as a liaison with auditors, and ensuring timely completion of audit and administrative activities. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for reconciling statutory and IFRS accounts, storing final accounts and related documents, and staying up-to-date with regulatory changes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning audits, confirming requirements, and agreeing timelines with auditors.
  • Serve as the point of contact for auditors on statutory and tax audit requirements.
  • Reconcile and understand differences between statutory and IFRS accounts and document them in the accounting system.
  • Ensure timely completion of audit and administrative activities, including storage of final accounts and related documents.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes impacting assigned entities.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Manager, including flagging going concern and/or equity issues, proposing dividend distribution, and preparing analyses and schedules required during inspections.
Requirements:
  • CPA certification.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in statutory audits and/or financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of Financial Systems, including Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, and Oracle.
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Proficient in MS applications, particularly advanced MS Excel.
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Able to prioritize tasks, manage issues, and produce results in a timely manner.
  • Highly analytical; can work well under pressure and with minimal supervision.
