Software Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team as a key contributor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a distributed environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting features in a cloud automation and software operations platform at scale. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, debugging issues, interacting with upstream communities, and working with other talented engineers to achieve project goals.

  • Design and develop scalable software solutions using Go.
  • Collaborate with a global team to deliver high-quality software products.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and provide support to colleagues.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to continuously improve software delivery processes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in professional software delivery using Go.
  • Hands-on expertise in developing concurrent distributed systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including online environments.
  • A solid academic track record from high school and university.
  • Experience with agile methodologies.

Additional Skills:

  • Containerization experience (Docker, LXD, Kubernetes).
  • Development in C, C++, Rust, or low-level programming languages.
  • Solid networking fundamentals and experience.
  • Linux and open-source software knowledge.
  • Configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Cloud computing knowledge.
  • Passionate about software quality and testing.
  • Debian or snap packaging experience.
  • SQL and NoSQL database operation and programming knowledge.
  • Distributed team collaboration on an open-source project.
  • Open-source contributions.
