Job Overview

The General Ledger Coordinator will be responsible for assisting staff members in the preparation of monthly and quarterly accounting reports. This role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as the coordinator will be analyzing financial statements to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting practices.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. They will also have experience in accounting operations, including financial statement analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist staff members in the preparation of monthly and quarterly accounting reports
  • Analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting practices
  • Identify potential cash flow problems and financial irregularities
  • Provide regular updates to management regarding company finances
  • Liaise with department heads to ensure that each department remains within budget
  • Accurately prepare tax returns and ensure that company taxes are paid in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting operations
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
