Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely posting of medical charges, payments, and journal entries to patient accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify correct insurance filing information on behalf of the client and patient.
  • Prepare, review, and transmit claims using billing software, including electronic and paper claim processing.
  • Follow up on unpaid claims within the standard billing cycle time frame.
  • Research and appeal denied claims.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Knowledge of insurance guidelines, including HMO/PPO, Medicare, and state Medicaid.
  • Ability to handle protected health information in a manner consistent with HIPAA.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in billing software and systems.
