Job Title

Senior Front-End Developer


Our team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Front-End Developer to join our project. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in WordPress, Shopify, and React-based builds, with a focus on delivering high-quality front-end development using clean code, modern tooling, and best practices.
The role involves working closely with the lead developer, implementing complex builds and solving technical challenges as part of the team. Key responsibilities include delivering work on time, being dependable and proactive in collaborating with the team, developing custom WordPress themes, building custom Shopify themes, and delivering React-based front-end builds.
Required skills and qualifications include expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript, strong ability to hand-code solutions, advanced experience with custom WordPress theme development and Shopify builds, solid experience with React, deep understanding of ACF and WordPress customisation best practices, proficiency in integrating APIs and handling asynchronous data, and skill in optimising websites for speed, accessibility, and SEO.

  • Deliver high-quality front-end development using clean code, modern tooling, and best practices.
  • Develop custom WordPress themes, build custom Shopify themes, and deliver React-based front-end builds.
  • Work closely with the lead developer, implementing complex builds and solving technical challenges as part of the team.
  • Be dependable and proactive in collaborating with the team.
  • Translate designs and requirements into maintainable, performant code.
  • Apply advanced site optimisation techniques.
  • Ensure accessibility, responsive behaviour, and SEO best practices are consistently applied.
  • Work with Git using a branch/pull request/merge workflow.
  • Use modern toolchains to improve development efficiency and code quality.
  • Integrate and consume third-party APIs.
  • Troubleshoot issues across front-end, WordPress, Shopify, React, and server environments.
  • Implement animations and micro-interactions with performance and UX in mind.
