Virtual Computer Science Teacher Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Virtual Computer Science Teacher to play a critical role in connecting learners with expert teachers, promoting educational equity, and ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Your mission will be to leverage technology and innovative virtual tools to foster a collaborative and engaging classroom environment. You will be responsible for developing lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and pacing guides, integrating technology to differentiate lessons, engaging students, and deepening their understanding of the material.

  • Create engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and promote student learning and growth
  • Effectively utilize online tools to differentiate lessons and engage students in a collaborative and interactive way
  • Teach synchronously during regular school hours (4-hour minimum) to ensure maximum learning opportunities
  • Evaluate and grade student work to track progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Offer constructive feedback to support student learning and growth, and help them reach their full potential
  • Represent the organization's brand and mission in all interactions, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity
Hardware and Work Setup
  • A reliable laptop or desktop with Windows 10/11 or Mac with macOS 10.14+, 2 monitors, and stable internet connection (50 Mbps minimum)
  • Fully remote teaching with no in-person commitments, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance
  • No school duty stations or last-minute class coverage, ensuring a predictable schedule
  • Scheduling to fit your needs, accommodating your lifestyle and preferences
  • Access to curriculum and virtual tools, enabling you to create engaging and effective lesson plans
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Active US state-issued Computer Science teaching certification, demonstrating expertise and credibility
  • Proficiency in using virtual teaching tools and resources, showcasing technical skills and adaptability
  • Preferred Qualifications: One or more years of teaching experience, enhancing your ability to inspire and motivate students
