Key Responsibilities:
  • Owning key features and collaborating closely with our design team.
  • Shaping the future of our Android development.
  • Maintaining and improving reliability metrics for critical features.
  • Participating in cross-functional discussions - Product, Design, Engineering.
  • Reviewing code changes and supporting colleagues.
  • Addressing critical issues or navigating unexpected challenges.
  • Taking ownership of feature releases and providing nightly builds for the QA team.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with Android components and architecture.
  • Experience developing or contributing to at least one Android app.
  • Strong understanding of product design principles and user empathy.
  • Drive to innovate and improve Android UI/UX.
  • Understanding of testing fundamentals and approach to writing tests.
  • Self-motivation to enhance the app and codebase beyond specifications.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin, Coroutines, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, JUnit tests.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • User-centric problem-solving approach.
  • Adaptability to continuous feedback from leaders.
