We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our team in the Data Services Department. As a key member of our Infrastructure Division, you will be responsible for designing, evaluating, installing, and administering databases and their components and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installs and administers databases and their corresponding components and facilities. Maintains the database uptime, performance, and security at the agreed service levels.
  • Researches industry developments regarding assigned databases and components to learn and implement better administration practices, understand cost-effective alternatives, and guard against unplanned obsolescence. Recommends better and/or more cost-effective replacement infrastructure where needed.
  • Provides technical support to personnel in data center operations, applications management, and risk management. Provides inputs to applications managers on database considerations for optimal application design.
  • Communicates and coordinates with database vendors regarding product updates, fixes, and support requirements.
