We are looking for a seasoned Inpatient Coding Specialist to support our client's clinical documentation integrity initiatives. The successful candidate will have expertise in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and DRG coding and excellent collaboration skills to work with various stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
- Review inpatient medical records for coding accuracy, identifying discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
- Engage with healthcare providers to clarify documentation gaps, promoting high-quality clinical documentation.
- Support medical necessity validation, SOI, and risk adjustment coding processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Foster strong relationships with clinical teams to drive improved documentation practices.
Essential Requirements:
- Degree in Nursing or Medical-related discipline.
- Proven experience in medical coding, preferably within a clinical or BPO/CPO environment.
- Active CCS or CDIP certification and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Work Arrangements:
This position is based on-site, working standard business hours, Monday to Friday.
