The Role:

As a Utility Engineer II, you will conduct thorough inspections and analysis of overhead electrical infrastructure to ensure accuracy and reliability of utility asset datasets. You will identify potential hazards, provide real-time data to utility companies, and contribute to improving utility service reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and catalog utility assets with high accuracy.
  • Identify electrical equipment issues and potential hazards, providing real-time data to utility companies.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining utility asset datasets to support operational improvements.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support safe and efficient project execution.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance technical knowledge and skill development.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in the electric utility field (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (must-have).
  • Proficient computer skills with good written and oral communication abilities (must-have).
  • Working knowledge of industry standards, including national engineering standards (nice-to-have).
  • Excellent organizational skills and flexibility to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work remotely and coordinate effectively with a distributed workforce.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and applying new technologies within the utility sector.
