Remote Medical Biller and Accounts Receivable Specialist


  • This is a professional opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to support the billing and revenue cycle management team in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • The selected candidate will work independently to prepare and submit medical claims, post payments, reconcile patient accounts, follow up on unpaid claims, review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), and maintain an organized accounts receivable system.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for collaboration with administrative teams to ensure timely revenue collection.
  • Experience in medical billing, claims management, and healthcare administration is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and insurance billing guidelines is a plus.

Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies.
  2. Post payments from insurance companies and patients into the EMR system.
  3. Reconcile patient accounts and identify discrepancies or payment issues.
  4. Follow up on unpaid, denied, or underpaid claims with insurance companies.
  5. Review EOBs for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  6. Maintain an organized accounts receivable system and generate regular aging reports.
  7. Collaborate with administrative teams to ensure timely revenue collection.
  8. Assist with correcting billing errors and resubmitting claims when necessary.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, or claims management.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
  • Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and insurance billing guidelines is a plus.
