Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented accounting professional to join our team. As an accounting professional, you will be responsible for performing bookkeeping functions for a portfolio of small business clients in the US.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting procedures, including bank, credit card, and payroll account reconciliations, accounts receivable (A/R), accounts payable (A/P), and other accounting-related functions as requested by clients.

You will also be responsible for communicating open items or anomalies to senior accounting staff and following up to ensure items are fully resolved. Additionally, you will examine bank transactions and flag unknown transactions to the accountant or accounting lead.

Other responsibilities include preparing journal entries and ensuring proper documentation of reconciliation items in work papers.

A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is preferred. Exposure in bookkeeping is essential, as well as experience in reconciliation and Microsoft Excel. Technical savvy and high attention to detail are necessary, as well as the ability to manage multiple competing priorities stemming from client needs and requests while maintaining top quality and customer service standards.

Strong organization, oral and written communication skills are essential for this role, as well as aptitude in data management, analytics, reporting preparation.
