US Tax and Payroll Expert Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Tax Return and Payroll Expert to manage and prepare US tax returns, handle payroll returns, and maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tax Returns: Prepare and file US federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
  • Payroll Processing: Manage payroll processing and prepare accurate and timely payroll returns.
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks Online (QBO).
  • Bookkeeping Tasks: Perform general bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions and reconciling accounts.
  • Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Financial Analysis: Monitor and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in preparing US tax returns and payroll returns.
  • QuickBooks Proficiency: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and other accounting software.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Strong understanding of US tax laws, payroll processes, and accounting principles.
Preferred Skills:
  • Financial Software: Experience with other financial software and tools.
  • Financial Analysis: Knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry-specific accounting practices and regulations.
