Job Description

The Visual Display Artist shall assist in the execution of store interior displays of departments and window displays of merchandise based on approved specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the Visual Merchandise and Display Manager to finalize concepts for store displays.
  2. Coordinate with the Creatives Office to ensure styling requirements for merchandise are met.
  3. Assist in scaling and preparing layouts of concepts prior to implementation.
  4. Recommend ideas and concepts to improve merchandise presentation.
  5. Collaborate with Store Branch Managers and Floor Managers to identify areas for improvement in overall display.
  6. Assist in coordinating the production of store signs for special promotions and sale events.
  7. Improve the overall set-up of displays, including signs, posters, display backgrounds, and other displays.
  8. Prepare and secure permits for Off-site & exterior set-ups/projects.
  9. Sources display materials/props needed for projects/set-ups.
  10. Ensure safety and security measures are observed when using accessories for display.

Implementation

  1. Verify the preparation and setting up of props for store overall display.
  2. Borrow and return display items as required.
  3. Create a checklist of display items based on standard policies and procedures.
  4. Daily inspect merchandise display to ensure correct assortment of items and realistic/artistic presentation of merchandise.
  5. Replace display items to prevent fading or other damages.
  6. Ensure documents, props, and display materials are counted after dismantling setup.
  7. Ensure cleanliness and presentability of props and display materials for set-up use.
  8. Monitor Project Staff's performance.

Requirements

A College degree of 4 years preferably in Visual Merchandising, Art, Design, or related field is required.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Well-organized and detail-oriented individual.
  • Able to work well with all levels of management, build partnerships, and direct teams.
  • Excellent communication skills along with an ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Strong project management skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong negotiation and judgment skills.
  • Strong presentation and design skills.
  • Creative and artistic; Has a strong sense of style, color, and design.

Experience

Minimum of 2 - 4 years visual merchandising experience preferably in Apparel, Accessories, Home, and Cosmetics categories is required.
