Join Marivent Hotels and Resorts Inc. as a Senior Financial Analyst to oversee the financial operations of our company.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to lead our accounting team and provide strategic financial guidance to senior management.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.

You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory requirements.

You will also be responsible for monitoring financial performance against budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and providing explanations.

In addition, you will assist in the development of annual budgets and long-term financial projections, monitor budgetary control, and report variances with recommendations to management.

You will oversee the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely reporting, review and approve reconciliations of key accounts, such as bank statements, inventory, and intercompany transactions.

Prepare for external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports, develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure data integrity.

You will supervise, mentor, and support accounting staff, providing training and development opportunities, conduct performance evaluations, and set goals for team members to support individual growth.

Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reduce inefficiencies, implement best practices for financial management and reporting, including automation where possible.

Evaluate financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decisions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle), advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with financial reporting systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • In-depth knowledge of financial accounting and GAAP principles
  • Effective team leadership and people management
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced, dynamic work environments

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
