Full Stack Developer

About the Role:

This is a full-time, remote position for an experienced Full Stack Developer to design, develop and maintain scalable web applications using PHP (Laravel framework) and modern JavaScript libraries. The ideal candidate will have expertise in back-end technologies like Python for automation, data processing, and backend services.

We're looking for someone with strong problem-solving skills who can collaborate effectively with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. This role requires excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

The Full Stack Developer will work closely with the development team to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using PHP (Laravel framework) and modern JavaScript libraries.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
  • Leverage Python for automation, data integration, and backend processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure reliability and scalability.
  • Implement security best practices in applications and data handling.
  • Optimise application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong expertise in back-end technologies like PHP (Laravel framework), Python, and front-end technologies like JavaScript and React.
  • Practical experience with unit testing frameworks and methodologies.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Linux/Bash proficiency.
  • Experience with Docker environments and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Version control (Git).
  • CSS frameworks such as Tailwind CSS.
  • Strong experience with relational databases and query optimisation.
  • RESTful API development and integration.
