Job Summary

Mass Markets is seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, including maintaining records, calculating employee pay, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities
  • Confirm new-hire information and resolve outstanding issues promptly
  • Establish tax information for employees working in multiple states
  • Verify approval of increases and promotions on time
  • Make changes in the HRIS system
  • Process off-cycle payrolls for missed items
  • Research employee issues concerning missing pay
  • Verify client setup and employee assignment
  • Approve timecards and track down missing punches
  • Handle leave requests and documentation
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in payroll processing
  • Knowledge of Federal and State tax laws
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of payroll processes, including garnishments and benefit deductions
  • Detail-oriented and strong time management skills
