Payroll Operations Specialist

Mass Markets is seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, including maintaining records, calculating employee pay, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
Responsibilities- Confirm new-hire information and resolve outstanding issues promptly
- Establish tax information for employees working in multiple states
- Verify approval of increases and promotions on time
- Make changes in the HRIS system
- Process off-cycle payrolls for missed items
- Research employee issues concerning missing pay
- Verify client setup and employee assignment
- Approve timecards and track down missing punches
- Handle leave requests and documentation
- 3+ years of experience in payroll processing
- Knowledge of Federal and State tax laws
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of payroll processes, including garnishments and benefit deductions
- Detail-oriented and strong time management skills
