About the Role

KMC Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Specialist to join our team. This role plays a critical part in enhancing business transparency by developing informative dashboards and reports sourced from various systems. The ideal candidate will contribute to well-informed decision-making through effective data analysis, reporting, and process improvements.

Main ResponsibilitiesData Analysis & Reporting
  • Develop and maintain strategic business dashboards and reports to support informed decision-making.
  • Source and integrate data from multiple business systems to provide a consolidated view of business performance.
  • Analyse key business metrics, trends, and operational efficiencies to deliver actionable insights.
  • Identify gaps in data quality and collaborate with stakeholders to improve data integrity.
  • Provide timely and accurate ad-hoc analysis and reporting support as required.
Stakeholder Engagement & Requirement Gathering
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Conduct workshops and meetings to document business requirements for dashboards and reporting solutions.
  • Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective utilisation of dashboards and reports.
Process Improvement & Automation
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve efficiency.
  • Automate recurring reports and dashboards to minimise manual effort.
  • Enhance reporting tools and methodologies to improve business transparency and accessibility of data.
Innovation & Technology Utilisation
  • Stay updated with the latest business intelligence (BI) tools and best practices.
  • Explore and implement data visualisation techniques to improve report usability.
  • Assist in the selection and implementation of business intelligence platforms where applicable.
Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and data security guidelines.
  • Support the development of data governance policies and procedures.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Timely and accurate production of business reports and dashboards.
  • Continuous improvement in data accuracy and reporting efficiency.
  • Effective collaboration with stakeholders to meet analytical needs.
  • Proactive identification and implementation of process improvements.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical behaviour.
Required Skills & QualificationsEssential:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data manipulation techniques.
  • Ability to interpret complex data sets and present findings in a clear, actionable manner.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Desirable:
  • Experience integrating data from multiple systems (ERP, CRM, financial systems, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Python, R, or other scripting languages for data analysis.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or similar industry environment.
Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related discipline (preferred).
