As a seasoned accounting and finance operations specialist, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening our day-to-day accounting and finance operations, automating processes, and creating clear financial reports to support our growth.

Responsibilities
  • Process Improvement: Improve the setup and configuration of QuickBooks Online for our entity, including the chart of accounts, bank feeds, and automation rules.
  • Financial Management: Manage and automate accounting and financial tasks such as reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and reporting.
  • System Migration: Migrate existing financial tools from Excel/Google Sheets into our new automated reporting app for two entities.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with our accountant to ensure compliance while focusing on efficiency and streamlined operations.
Qualifications
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping Skills: Solid accounting and bookkeeping skills.
  • Digital Literacy: Digitally savvy, with the ability to streamline processes and leverage automation tools.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent Excel and/or Google Sheets skills (formulas, pivot tables, dashboards).
  • Soft Skills: Hands-on, detail-oriented, and proactive about process improvements.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a start-up environment: resourceful, flexible, and solution-oriented.
  • Flexibility: Flexible, remote freelance role.
