Knowledge Base Writer Job Description

The ideal candidate for this role will play a pivotal part in the governance of our knowledge base, ensuring its overall health and best practices. This involves encouraging correct and widespread usage, creating guidelines for captured information, and preventing it from growing stale.

This position requires a seasoned technical writer who excels at breaking down complex processes into easy-to-follow steps. We are seeking someone with expertise in content writing, online platforms, and formatting techniques to highlight key points and make content more accessible.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a high-quality knowledge management strategy that caters to diverse skill levels.
  • Collaborate effectively across the organization with stakeholders, clients, trainers, QA, IDs, and subject matter experts to develop and support new and existing products, processes, and services.
  • Analyze data to evaluate business impact, track usage, and optimize the efficiency of our IKB content.
  • Establish writing guidelines based on KB best practices and ensure consistency throughout.
  • Review and implement agent suggestions to improve the overall quality of our IKB.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on product specifics to validate article content accuracy and provide guidance as needed.
  • Proactively review the IKB, identify areas for improvement, and suggest updates that enhance its value.
  • Write new IKB articles to support campaigns launching new policies, procedures, or products.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in content writing.
  • Experience in independently creating engaging online articles, guides, and user support content.
  • Demonstrated competency with writing and graphics tools, including online platforms.
  • Ability to apply formatting techniques to highlight key points and make content more accessible.
  • Analytical skills to identify areas for improvement and create innovative solutions.
  • Quick learner with a penchant for self-development and continuous learning.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with all team members and stakeholders.
