Job Overview

At WHR, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out general ledger functions for assigned entities across EMEA and SA regions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial closing activities for assigned Business Units in accordance with work instructions and month-end closing checklist.
  • Prepare journal entries accurately for month-end closing on a timely basis, ensuring adequate documentation and retention in a server.
  • Analytically review P&L and balance sheet to identify potential threats to financials, propose journal entries to ensure completeness of transactions based on the analysis carried out.
  • Involve in Transfer Pricing, Intercompany, and vendors activities, PO processing.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliation, investigate unreconciled or long-aged items on a timely basis, highlighting any irregularities to Country/Regional Finance stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy/Finance or recognized professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA).
  • 1-2 years of relevant working experience, open to accounting fresh graduates but must be accountancy graduates.
  • Good accounting concepts, equipped with sound double-entry knowledge.
  • A team player, meticulous, able to work independently under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Keen to learn, strong sense of responsibility towards meeting goals/KPI assigned.
  • Good communication skills, good command of English.
  • Computer literate, competent in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Possibly with SAP system knowledge & Teradata.
