Mechanic Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to install, maintain, and repair dock facility machinery.

• Main Responsibilities:
• Install dock facility machinery ensuring all equipment is properly secured and functioning as intended.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on dock facility machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair dock facility machinery in a timely and efficient manner minimizing downtime and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
• Ensure all equipment is installed and maintained according to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed including daily maintenance and repair logs.
• Additional Responsibilities:
• Communicate effectively with operators from other shifts to ensure smooth operations and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Maintain and secure work tools ensuring they are in good working condition and easily accessible.
• Clean and maintain the work area ensuring a safe and organized environment for employees.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use preventing accidents and injuries.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance and repairs.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and principles.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights.

The selected candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels. The job requires regular standing, walking, and lifting.
