Job Summary:

Role Description

The Tax Filing/Bookkeeper is a critical role within our organization. The primary function of this position is to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

This includes preparing and filing tax returns in a timely manner, reconciling bank statements, and monitoring cash flow. Additionally, the individual will assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets, as well as provide support during the annual budget process.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, including proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero. They must also be able to connect with people, understand their needs, and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Prepare and file tax returns
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets
  • Provide support during the annual budget process

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or tax preparation
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
