The Role of a Crisis Support Specialist

You will be part of our team, working closely with operations and fellow coaches to deliver exceptional client experiences. Your role will involve:

  • Ensuring helplines are adequately staffed during peak periods.
  • Maintaining high standards of effectiveness in interactions with callers, utilizing established protocols and best practices.
  • Effective communication with stakeholders and internal teams through various channels.
  • Organizing and tracking client information using relevant systems.
  • Care coordination: ensuring clients receive necessary follow-up care, conducting regular triage and check-ins.
  • An empathetic and proactive approach to helping clients in need.

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • At least 2-4 years of experience as a helpline responder.
  • Training in SFBT (Solution-Focused Brief Therapy) or its equivalent.
  • Certification in Psychological First Aid and Suicide Prevention.
  • A Master's degree in Psychology is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • A willingness to improve and develop.
  • Technical know-how for meetings and online development courses.
