Job Description

The Senior Associate for Financial Reporting and Tax is responsible for overseeing the preparation, accuracy, and compliance of financial reports. This position supports senior management with relevant financial insights and ensures adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare month-end and year-end closing reports that meet stringent quality and compliance standards
  • Review tax returns and worksheets to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Manage Netsuite data upload and maintenance to optimize system performance
  • Assist in preparing Financial Statements that reflect the company's financial position and performance
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements through regular audits and assessments

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and provide guidance and/or training to associates to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Maintain and monitor tax and closing calendars to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless submission of closing reports
  • Participate in special projects and ad-hoc reporting requests from senior management or external stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or Management Accounting
  • Preferred certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Accounting Technician (CAT)
  • Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in financial reporting and compliance
  • Detail-oriented with strong MS Excel skills and ability to work quickly with numbers
  • Working knowledge of accounting standards and tax laws
  • Proficient in accounting software and financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Ability to work diligently with little or no supervision
  • Experience working in an external audit firm is preferred
