Sustainability Specialist

As a Sustainability Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting sustainability.

The position involves acting as one of the project's Pollution Control Officers (PCO), adhering to relevant guidelines.

Key responsibilities include:

• Monitoring air emission tests at stationary sources
• Inspecting facilities to ensure environmental management system compliance
• Preparing environment audit reports and following up on control measures
• Conducting environmental inspections, preparing reports, and implementing corrective actions
• Providing environmental orientation to new employees, visitors, and stakeholders
• Developing and delivering internal environmental training programs
• Submitting reports on SMR, CMR, and other environmental aspects
• Participating in public consultations and assessing environmental impacts

Responsibilities are diverse and involve working closely with multiple departments to achieve common goals.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Sanitary, Civil, Industrial, or Environmental Science
• Preferably DENR-EMB accredited PCO in Category B establishment
• More than 3 years of experience as a PCO preferred
• Strong background in Environmental Management
• Knowledgeable in environmental laws, including PD1586, RA6969, RA9003, RA8749, and RA9275
• Understanding of MSDS & chemical handling, and familiarity with DENR-EMB online systems
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
