Plautdietsch Linguist

We seek a skilled linguist for remote medical appointments, requiring fluency in both English and Plautdietsch.

• Consecutive interpretation during remote medical consultations.
• Professional demeanor and courteous communication.
• Support note taking and utilize memory techniques as needed.
• Maintain high standards of quality and service excellence.

• Fluency in English and Plautdietsch (target language).
• State Certified interpreter preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Strong verbal communication skills in both languages.
• Familiarity with note taking and memory techniques.
• Professionalism and courtesy essential.
• Experience with consecutive interpretation process.
• Strong passion for interpretation and customer service.
• Knowledge of interpreter Code of Ethics.
• At least 2 years of medical interpreting experience.

This is a contract position, offering flexibility and autonomy.
