Job Description

The IT audit officer role involves conducting thorough reviews and assessments of an organization's information systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity protocols, and IT-related controls.

This position ensures that IT operations are aligned with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Audit Planning and Preparation: Develop comprehensive audit plans, identify risks, and prepare for audits to ensure a smooth process.
  2. Audit Execution: Conduct independent reviews of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure to evaluate their effectiveness and efficiency.
  3. Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks to the organization's IT systems and implement measures to mitigate them.
  4. Data Analysis and Evaluation: Collect, analyze, and interpret data to inform business decisions and drive improvement initiatives.
  5. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and produce clear, concise reports on audit findings and recommendations.
  6. Compliance and Governance: Ensure that IT operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  7. Process Improvement: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance IT processes.
  8. Team Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.
Requirements

Education: A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required.

Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in IT audit, cybersecurity, or information systems assurance; banking industry experience is preferred.

Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISA or CISM are advantageous.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of IT audit principles, cybersecurity practices, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Understanding of network infrastructure, IT systems, applications, and infrastructure within the industry.
  • Proficiency in audit software (e.g., ACL, IDEA) and data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel).
