Essential Skills and QualificationsTo succeed as an ERS Commissioning Engineer, you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in electrical testing and commissioning.
- Familiarity with industry standards from NETA, NEC, IEEE, and ANSI.
- Knowledge of building electrical systems, including normal and emergency power distribution systems, generators, and motor control centers.
- Solid understanding of tests performed on circuit breakers, switchgear, transformers, and other power distribution components.
- Experience with power quality issues, infrared inspections, and thermal imaging software.
- Background and experience in operation and maintenance of switchgear through the 600V class.
- Good technical English skills and business writing abilities.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
