At TASQ Staffing Solutions, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Talent Development Specialist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious professional to take on a challenging role that will drive business growth and contribute to the development of our workforce.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented individual who can create and implement effective training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our sea staff. The successful candidate will work closely with our Fleet Manager to maintain the training schedule, identify training needs, and develop competence documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a comprehensive list of sea staff with recommendations for promotion, ensuring that our personnel are equipped with the necessary skills to excel in their roles.
- Assist in transition planning for promotions, guaranteeing a seamless handover of responsibilities and expertise.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of company training needs and objectives, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
- Develop and maintain the training schedule, collaborating closely with our Fleet Manager to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Identify and document training needs based on sign-off interviews, guaranteeing that our staff receive the necessary support to excel in their roles.
- Coordinate, prepare, and update competence documentation, ensuring that our staff's skills and qualifications are accurately recorded.
- Collaborate with our principal to design and implement training plans for newly hired seafarers, adhering to STCW and company standards.
- Organize seafarers' conferences, training sessions, and other company-specific courses, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Facilitate administrative requirements for in-house training and coordinate outsourced training arrangements, ensuring seamless delivery and evaluation.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all training materials, equipment, and resources, guaranteeing efficient use of company assets.
- Oversee the maintenance of training records for sea staff, ensuring accurate and timely recording of training progress.
- Make all necessary arrangements for courses, including enrollment, travel, and accommodation, streamlining the training process for our staff.
- Follow up on training courses related to various projects, guaranteeing successful project outcomes.
- Provide relevant personnel information into the Crewing System, ensuring that our database is up-to-date and accurate.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the maritime industry.
- Strong understanding of training principles, adult learning theory, and instructional design methodologies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly motivated and self-directed, with a proven track record of delivering results and meeting deadlines.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex situations and develop effective solutions.
