Real Estate Analyst Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Analyst to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate asset management and/or acquisitions, with a strong background in underwriting and analyzing real estate opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Weekly Funding Report: Generate reports on funding and liquidity statements, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.
  • Monthly Reports: Prepare comprehensive reports on multifamily market comparisons, financial performance, and occupancy rates, providing valuable insights for stakeholders.
  • Quarterly Loan Compliance Reporting: Create reports for major lending partners, ensuring compliance with loan agreements and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Ground Lease Reporting: Monitor and analyze ground lease compliance and financial reporting variance analysis, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Yardi Reports: Produce reports on rent roll, income statements, budgets, and tenancy schedules for Asset Managers and Property Managers, streamlining communication and decision-making.
  • Loan Financing and Refinancing: Assist with loan requests, due diligence, and closing processes, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Yearly Budget: Review and prepare budgets for multifamily properties, office suites, and general ledgers, aligning financial goals with business objectives.
  • 1031 Exchange: Identify replacement properties, calculate deferred tax gains/losses, and update property tax basis, minimizing tax liabilities.
  • Acquisitions and Dispositions: Conduct due diligence, review closing statements, and facilitate exchange setup with First American Exchange Company, optimizing deal outcomes.
  • Summary of Acquisitions, Dispositions, Financing, and 1031 Exchanges: Maintain a summary of transactions and sold properties' internal rate of return calculations, tracking performance metrics.
  • Property Tax Basis: Update and maintain quarterly property tax basis records, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • LoanBoss: Ensure accurate loan information in LoanBoss, streamlining data management.
  • Special Reports: Prepare reports on draw requests, company presentation materials, transaction gain/loss calculations, and other requested reports, delivering exceptional support services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, or accounting is preferred; MBA degree is a plus.
  • 2-5 years of experience in real estate asset management and/or acquisitions.
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills are required; proficiency in top consulting firms or financial institutions is a plus.
  • Strong quantitative skills and analytical abilities, with excellent organizational, time management, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight in a team environment, demonstrating unquestionable integrity and ethics.
