About the Role

This Procurement Specialist position involves sourcing and negotiating goods and services to provide optimal pricing, quality, delivery, and payment methods.

  • Recommendations are made through bid tabulation from RFP or RFQ, meeting business requirements.
  • Awards orders with selected suppliers, creating purchase orders or contracts through existing procurement systems.
  • Resolves disputes by providing required documentation for discrepancies in purchase orders or contracts.
  • Ensures compliance with government regulations, company guidelines, purchasing policies, and procedures to mitigate risk.
  • Provides reports for assigned projects or commodities, supporting decision-making.
  • Assists in supplier reviews, submitting performance details for feedback and recommendations.
  • Liaises between suppliers and departments to resolve procurement-related issues.
Key Responsibilities

This Procurement Specialist will be responsible for:

  1. Sourcing and negotiating goods and services to meet business requirements.
  2. Providing recommendations through bid tabulation from RFP or RFQ.
  3. Awarding orders with selected suppliers.
  4. Resolving disputes through documentation.
  5. Ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines.
  6. Providing reports for decision-making.
  7. Assisting in supplier reviews.
  8. Liaising between departments.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in procurement or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Use of procurement systems in previous organizations.
