We are seeking a highly skilled Software Platform Engineering Manager to lead our team in delivering innovative solutions for next-generation silicon. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of our software platform, ensuring seamless integration with latest hardware platforms.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a team of engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Oversee commercial engagements, ensuring timely delivery on agreed project milestones.
  • Participate as technical lead on complex customer engagements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive successful outcomes.
  • Implement disciplined engineering processes, promoting continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
  • Integrate and maintain platform-oriented software stacks, optimizing Ubuntu for latest hardware platforms.
  • Display technical leadership internally and within external communities, contributing to code reviews and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with other leaders to drive business strategy and execution.

Requirements:

  • Essential Skills:
  • Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university.
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or equivalent alternative path.
  • Fluency in C, C++, and Python programming languages.
  • Experience with Linux and operational systems software (e.g. kernel or user space).
  • Experience with Debian/Ubuntu or other distro packaging.
  • Experience leading software engineering teams.
  • Professional written and spoken English.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience working with open source communities and licenses.
  • Computer architecture knowledge of x86, ARM, RISC-V, or s390x.
  • Understanding of build systems and toolchains, including for cross-compilation.
  • Experience working with customers.
  • Experience with board bring up and validation.
  • Experience with Linux virtualization, networking, or graphics stacks.
  • Experience with Docker/OCI containers/K8s.
