About the Job

This role is part of our newly created mobile squad as an Android Engineer, you will play a key role in continuing to build our market-leading Humanforce Work app.

You will work closely with senior engineers on building best practices across the team to ensure we continue to build a seamless user experience across the Humanforce Work application.

This role has a direct impact on our end-users, ensuring every employee can seamlessly interact with our features.

  • Main Responsibilities
  • Develop high-quality, scalable, and performant software components, and UI in support of our industry-leading product including worker scheduling, time and attendance, leave, pay, and messaging and notification services.
  • Apply your skills to deliver high-quality code with a focus on unit tests and UI automation for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
  • Actively participate in all phases of the SDLC, working closely with, and incorporating feedback from product management, designers, and other engineers in a small cross-functional and agile team.
  • Keep your skills up-to-date in an environment where we drive innovation to evolve our technology stack, ensuring we maintain industry best practice.
  • Focus on your own professional growth through dedicated self-development time.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through mentoring other engineers and knowledge sharing with cross-functional groups.
  • Provide a delightful experience for our users through the delivery of highly polished features, squashing bugs, and performance optimization.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3-5 years of Android development experience
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin
  • Knowledge of Kotlin Coroutines
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose
  • Experience with reactive programming (RXKotlin)
  • Hands-on experience consuming RESTful APIs
  • Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
