Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Health Clerical Assistant with a background in Human Resources to provide administrative support to our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing clerical tasks related to patient care and assisting with HR functions such as onboarding, record-keeping, and employee support.

This role involves performing administrative duties including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate and complete patient records. Additionally, the successful candidate will assist with HR tasks such as employee onboarding, personnel file maintenance, and payroll processing.

The selected candidate will be expected to work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless administrative processes and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform clerical duties including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate and complete patient records.
  • Assist with HR tasks including employee onboarding, personnel file maintenance, and payroll processing.
  • E nsure all healthcare documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulations.
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals to streamline administrative processes.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team and assist with employee relations activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Support the HR team in organizing training sessions and employee development programs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clerical or administrative role within a healthcare setting.
  • Basic understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with healthcare management software.
  • Familiarity with HR software and systems (e.g., HRIS).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
