Compliance Leadership Role

We seek an analytical professional to lead our tax compliance function, overseeing tax return preparation in collaboration with partners.

  • Manage staff and review tax returns prepared by the team.
  • Prepare and review complex individual and business returns (1120, 1120s, 1065, not for profit, 1041s).
  • Assist staff with diagnosing issues in preparation in software.
  • Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and oversight to junior team members.
  • Communicate directly with clients to obtain missing information and provide updates.
  • Able to respond to notices from tax authorities.
  • Versatile and organized, can handle multiple tasks in a day depending on client and partner needs.

Key responsibilities will include managing staff, reviewing tax returns, and providing guidance to team members.

About You
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Deep knowledge of US Federal and state tax laws and regulations.
  • Experience with forms 1120, 1120s, 1065, 1040, 1041, and not for profit return; preparation and review.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Experience preparing returns in ProSeries preferred.
  • Ability to manage a team and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
