Senior Data Engineer Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining our enterprise data infrastructure. This position is ideal for a skilled engineer with a strong background in cloud-based data engineering, automation, and DevOps practices.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure the efficient processing, storage, and accessibility of high-quality data. They will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines using AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, and RDS.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing robust data pipelines using AWS services
  • Building efficient ETL processes to ingest, transform, and store data effectively
  • Managing and optimizing relational databases to support business needs
  • Ensuring high-quality data through validation, monitoring, and governance best practices
  • Developing scripts and automation tools to streamline data processes and workflows
  • Supporting business users by ensuring data is structured and accessible in reporting tools like Tableau or Metabase

Requirements include:

  • Proven experience in data engineering, working with cloud-based data platforms (AWS)
  • Strong proficiency in Python for data processing and automation
  • Experience with SQL and database management (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Glue, S3, Lambda, and RDS
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT best practices and experience building data pipelines
