About the Role

This position involves ensuring that all appropriate billing charges are captured, documented, charged, and reimbursed for the assigned department in accordance with policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Plan, conduct, and evaluate reviews and audits of clinical documentation and billing practices to identify potential charging and billing issues.
  2. Prepare reports based on findings and provide summary of findings to impacted partners.
  3. Work closely with staff to identify, research, and analyze charging and billing errors and omissions, ensuring revisions/corrections are forwarded and incorporated in processing systems in timely manner.
  4. Stay current with CMS, AHA, and state coding/charging and reimbursement guidelines through training and on-the-job coaching.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve results.
